Weekend on Mission

At Hickory Grove, we desire for all of our members to join in the Discipleship Pathway, the fourth and final step being living On Mission. We desire that all of our church members should be disciples of Christ, but also living with Gospel intentionality with our neighbors, our nation, and the nations.

This Saturday, we will come together as a church to be On Mission to our neighbors. 

Clothes Closet Sorting & Neighborhood shopping event

• Clothes Closet is a ministry of Hickory Grove Baptist Church seeking to assist those in need of clothing, shoes, and other apparel. The volunteer opportunities will take place in the Harris Campus Family Life Center. All ages are welcome to volunteer. 
  • Volunteers are needed to sort and hang clothing donations on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, March 11-14.
  • Volunteers are needed to work the shopping event on Saturday morning, March 15.

Car Care

• Car Care is a ministry of Hickory Grove Baptist Church that provides routine oil changes for single women and widows. Volunteers are needed to administer oil changes in the Harris Campus handicap parking lot, Saturday morning, March 15. Volunteers must be 16 (with a parent volunteer) or older.

Ground 40 

• Ground 40 helps men transition back into the community from homelessness, addiction, and incarceration by using discipleship and biblical principles to clearly communicate the gospel. On Saturday, March 15, Hickory Grove Baptist Church volunteers will assist with a renovation project on their recovery site. 

present age ministries

• Present Age Ministries is a Christian organization committed to combating the sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking of teen girls. They equip communities to identify at-risk teen girls through prevention and awareness education and to support survivors through holistic, individualized care. On Saturday, March 15, Hickory Grove Baptist Church volunteers will assist Present Age as they prepare for an upcoming church leadership conference.
